In Proverbs we’re told to “train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” It is important that we raise our youth in the ways of God. One of the things I enjoy most about doing the show here at Faith that Acts, is the opportunity to talk with people, all of whom have unique journeys in faith. In A Passion for Youth and Service, I welcome a special guest Anneke Stremler, who openly shares about her walk with the God and how she has been called minister to youth and meet them where they are at. This calling on her life has developed into a vocational outreach she fulfills at YoungLife. It is a Christian ministry that reaches out to middle school, high school and college-aged kids in all 50 of the United States as well as more than 90 countries around the world. They seek to reach 2,000,000 youth annually for Christ with the conviction that every kid and every kind of kid deserves the chance to know about the God who loves them deeply.
You will hear a story of spiritual development that came by the example of godly parents, mentors and friends. You will hear about the importance of Christian community and how it shores us up in a time of tragic loss and we emerge stronger despite our doubts. A Passion for Youth and Service rings with the authentic voice of a young Christian woman who has given her life to serve God’s purpose in the ministry of youth.
