Faith, Surrender, and Learning to Serve, is the story of a missions-minded young woman growing in faith through her formative years. Krysta explains that she came to know the Lord as a child through the witness and encouragement of her Grandmother. Looking back, Krysta says, “I went with Grandma to an Easter play… I have no doubt that I accepted Jesus in the moments following, praying with her; in the way that a child can. But, I did not know about full surrender until later.” This episode is that story… coming to know accountability and surrender through life’s circumstances. She openly discusses working to overcome a performance driven mentality. There were church transitions, perspective changing mission trips and some disappointments; one of which would challenge the foundation of her faith. Speaking of how God touched her life, Krysta notes, “This is real. This is something worth telling people about.”
Here, you will hear about the importance of community, the positive impact of youth leaders in the Church, and how the grace and hard love godly mentors give keeps us pointed toward the cross. Krysta has a deep passion for discipling young women and helping others. A recent college graduate, she speaks with a maturity beyond her years noting that, “Now, I own my faith… It is impossible to share your faith and not fall more in love with the Lord.” We are delighted to bring you this episode. It will encourage you in your walk of faith.
